The Hogan's Fountain Pavilion, often called the "Teepee," was an iconic structure in Cherokee Park, Louisville, KY. Built in 1965 and designed by E.J. Schickli Jr., its bold, mid-century modernist architecture made it a beloved gathering spot for generations. Known for its unique design, the pavilion hosted countless picnics and community events. Despite efforts to preserve it, the Teepee was controversially demolished in 2023 due to structural concerns and budget constraints. Its loss left a deep void in the community, as many mourned the removal of a cultural and historical landmark that had defined the park for over five decades.
