Skull Alley, located on Broadway, was a DIY music venue and screen-printing shop that became a cornerstone of Louisville’s underground music scene. Opening its doors in 2008, it quickly gained a reputation for hosting intimate shows with local punk, indie, and alternative bands, while also attracting national touring acts. The venue’s raw, authentic vibe and its commitment to supporting independent artists made it a beloved space for musicians and fans alike. In addition to live music, Skull Alley was known for its creative screen-printing work. Sadly, the venue closed in 2010, leaving a lasting legacy in Louisville’s indie music culture.
